Whatever may come…

I’m back. Yes, that’s what the bang is for. Don’t get it? This is going to be one of those random posts where I just type out alittle about a few different, unrelated topics. As random as random can be!

Its been one helluva week. 5 Uni assignments due in 1 week. Group assignments. & you know how those can get ugly…I still have to do one of’em again coz I had issues with my group. Gah!

This weekend, I plan to catch up on all the lost sleep. Yes, I actually have these days once a fortnight, when I can sleep the whole day ( in bits & pieces), to account for all the hours of sleep that I missed. & boy, have I missed those…! 3 hours of sleep per day sure don’t satisfy my minimum requirements. Add to that having to skip meals, no propah aftar & dinner…no loitering with my pals…etc etc & you’ll know what I’m talking about. Am just glad its over. Well, until the exams start, in under 2 weeks! Gads!

No, I still haven’t had any samosas this Ramadan, as of yet. That may sound trivial to many of you, but if you were going through what I have, then you’d know. Can’t wait for Eid. Oh, I actually have an iftar to attend to this sunday. yay! yeah, yeah, go on, laugh all you want.

& I plan to put up an audio post soon. Ya’know what fuelled my desire to want to put it up? My flatmate’s opinion regarding my voice. Apparently, I sound as if I have a “thirsty crow” stuck in my throat somewhere…(& no, I don’t remember the actual urdu words he said that in). & I even talk very loudly. I’m shushed each time I start saying something. The other day, I just got home, after a hard day at work/Uni etc, & the moment I stepped into the living room which is where all of them were, watching telly, I was told to shut up-even before I actually said anything at all! & need I tell you that 1 of’em actually speaks at the top of his voice whenever he’s addressing me, just to drive the point home, that I talk louder than necessary?! “sir, aap had se zyada bolte hain, aur upar se aap ki awaaz bhi itni pyari hai” Hrmph! But I’m such a quiet person…seriously!

Really sad, the quake. I don’t have immediate family there, but even I spent the day reading latest updates, praying for the affected. Lots of bloggers are posting about it, like UN officer, boy wonder, dupattafied gangsta, etc. - those r the nicknames I’ve given them in the list on the left. A request, please remember to mention those people in your dua’s all the time. Its alot more important than the X, Y or Z that we’ve been asking for ourselves…

I’ve decided to give minimum time to blog-hopping, coz I really need to get a lot of Uni work done & soon. So until then, I’ll just be posting such quickies…

Was watching tv the other day. Ok, it was after aftar & it wasn’t my idea-I didn’t want to watch tv(as we didn’t watch any entertainment during ramzaan back home), but flatmate was watching & I was around…So we were watching funniest Aussie home videos & I remember a few. There was this mother feeding her infant gooey baby food, & she decides to have a spoonful herself, & not only does she spit it out immediately, but she even proceeds to throw up right there & boy did she puke alot…! & then there was this kid who was all teary eyed & was telling his mom that there is this bubbles thing coming outta the drain in the laundry..a bubble monster! & the kid actually cries harder when the bubbles comeout again (detergent bubbles) & the mom hands him a mop to kill the bubbles monster!Now why wasn’t I such a kid when I was young?why didn’t I win $10,000 with my antics?!

As for my issues with salsa/merengue, well, Basil (I’ll put up a link soon-last comment in previous post) has made me reconsider my decision regarding resisting the urge to learn salsa…lol!(its back to the undecided stage on that one-lol). Its like he said what I’ve been thinking all along! & I believe they really heat it up in their kitchen…!- lol- B, I hope you & R do all the merengue/salsa that you’d ever want to (& a little more) for many years to come!

Oh, & one of my fav chocolates is on special at the supermarket- so I’m stocking up! lol!
